Day 1, week 3 at the whitin community center. Day 1 is always a fun filled day at camp! Cubs get a chance to learn the ropes and get ready for the wild western adventures that await the rest of the week. Today in scoutcraft cubs learned to tie lassos and roundup some cattle. In handicraft, cubs tie died bandannas and began work on their art belt loop. Cubs got a chance to cool off in the indoor competive size swimming pool. After a refreshing picnic lunch cubs learned about nature and played badminton or as we here at Cub scout day camp like to call it good-mitton. Cubs ended the day by learning the Safty rules and shooting techniques of archery and got a chance to shot 12 pound compound bows.
