Week 2 Day 4

WOW! Another awesome day at Cub Scout Day Camp! Your cubs got to pan for gold in Nature, make cacti in Handicraft, cook pizza in a dutch oven in Scoutcraft, shoot playing cards in BBs, practice shooting in Archery, use the bouldering wall and rock throwing range in Sports, and use the paddle boats at Waterfront. We can't wait to show you what your cubs have been doing during the week at our campfire. They will be earning about 10 belt loops and each area will give out an award to a special cub scout!

The campers loved making the cacti so much that they wanted the recipe for the dough they used to make it. You can find it below:
Self-Hardening Salt Clay
- 1/2 cups salt
- 4 cups flour
-1 1/2 cups water
Mix dry ingredients together. Then add water gradually. When dough forms a ball around the spoon, knead the dough well adding water if it is too crumbly. Air dry or this clay can also be baked at 350 degrees for 30-40 mins or until hard. This recipe serves 8 cub scouts.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Our campfire is tomorrow at 3:30 pm! Please plan to arrive at 3:15 and park in our upper parking lot. You can then walk down the trail to the camp. There will be NO BUS SERVICE TOMORROW AFTERNOON so please plan to come to the campfire and pick up your cub scout. Our Trading Post will be open and we will have an Art Show where you can pick up your cub's artwork for the week.

***Please remember that the camp speed limit is 10 MPH! We have campsites from the Boy Scout side along the road on the way to our camp so please respect the speed limit!***
