Week 1, Day 3

Happy Fourth of July!

We had a fantastic day at camp today! We totally lucked out with the weather as the clouds cleared right before our opening flag ceremony. Our campers are working hard and earning many achievements this week. We will be sending home a list of the numerous belt loops and rank requirements they have completed on Friday after our campfire.

Today in Handicraft, cubs worked on completing their Native American medicine pouches, made "wanted" posters of themselves, and made leather snakes. In Scoutcraft, campers worked on their hiking beltloops and in Nature, campers went fishing. Instead of the regular Sports Area, campers got to participate in the Bouldering Wall and the Rock Throw. Campers continue to have swimming lessons and use the paddle boats at Waterfront. During Archery and BB, campers are practicing their shooting skills and getting better each day. We finished our day by handing out small American Flags to every camper and singing "You're a Grand Old Flag." What a great day!

We have lots of videos today so make sure you scroll down and watch!
